All FPS personnel will be trained such that they will be able to perform their work safely, and will be aware of all environmental considerations pertaining to their duties and responsibilities. All training will be conducted by qualified instructors, and will be appropriately documented.
Operating and maintenance training may utilize API recommended training modules and films, or equivalent, and will be reinforced by appropriate demonstrations and "hands on" training. Reinforcement through on-the-job training will also be provided under the supervision of a knowledgeable operating/maintenance person of proven performance. A training matrix will be used for each employee to ensure that the proper training has been given. Each matrix may be different for each employee, depending on job function, and required training. However, all operations personnel will receive the following basic safety training program (BSTP) certifications as a minimum:
- Production Safety Systems Basic (T-2) (30 CFR and applicable parts; API RP 14-C)
- Crane Operator/Rigging (API RP 2D)
- CPR/First Aid
- SAFE Gulf
- MSTWS (Marine Safety Training & Water Survival)
- Over 20 OSHA Topics
Additionally, Flow Petroleum Services has other job-related skills training to further enhance our reputation for safer, more well-trained employees.
Flow designed training programs include classroom, on-site, off-site and computer/internet based settings in our continuing education programs.
Employees with less than 6 months with Flow Petroleum Services may not have all FPS required training contained herein, but will be scheduled upon course availability.
